Description

AIRWATT Project focuses on a new high performance, ATEX-certified coin-sized microturbine for gas distribution networks conceived and designed by Advanced Microturbines Srl. This is coupled to a Remote Terminal Unit developed by FAST SpA, able to fully exploit the availability of energy provided by the microturbine. AIRWATT is a local energy harvesting solution, that can: 1) Provide electricity continuously and reliably in off-grid applications; 2) Generate up to 150 Watt exploiting the gas pressure drops; 3) Enable real-time communication with the remote control centre and an efficient data-driven management of the network; 4) Help reduce CO2 emissions.
