The baseline study for the solid waste management has been commissioned as part of the Shimla-Wolverhampton strategic collaboration under the European Union - International Urban Cooperation (IUC)-India program. The study represents the key deliverable of the Urban Cooperation Local Action Plan for the city of Shimla. The report has been based on secondary research, stakeholder consultations, case studies and review of recommendations.

The report summarises the metropolitan lab organised with the city of Kochi Conducted over two days, the workshop will combine global perspectives on ‘Resilient Metropolitan Planning’ by Mr. Pedro Ortiz, an internationally renowned urban planner, with local perspectives from Kochi region by groups representing, environment, housing, transportation, social and productive activities. The workshop will deliver an implementable project list for the Kochi metropolitan region to achieve its vision in a resilient and sustainable manner.
