Description

The City of Manchester, UK is partnered with the Canadian city of Montreal, Quebec. The partnership is looking at ways to support local labour markets to achieve their sustainable development goals.

Both cities are working together to reduce urban poverty through the supply and maintenance of affordable housing for all.

Implementation

While Manchester has made gains in supporting highly skilled workers to succeed, they are looking for help in supporting lower skilled workers. Montreal, in contrast, has developed approaches for engaging with their lower skilled workers and is looking for ways to ensure higher skilled workers have good jobs and a high quality of life.
